"I'm not theirs.
And I'm not yours."
Detroit, the long way around. Showed up to her own life late and made the noise count.
She finished the music. Then she vanished.
The songs chronicle her ascent at twenty through her judgment day at twenty-five, closing on Act III — The Verdict. Casey chose the freedom of biker life. It cost her everything. She would pay it again.
There is a great deal of Casey's life that could not be put into music. She started playing biker clubs around the country and the fanbase came fast and fierce. As her name grew, so did her standing with the largest clubs in the country — declared a protected Nomad, free to roam, free to play. It was in her blood from the day she was born.
Law enforcement read her popularity as a link to organized crime they could exploit. They were wrong. Casey did two stints in prison rather than comply with the DA stalking her every move. Both yielded violence. Both yielded fatalities. Some clubs began to voice concerns. She survived an assassination attempt before a Grand Jury could indict her.
One night at a party, a man with no name other than his designation introduced himself. The Rooster. The highest form of biker law and justice — a myth, perhaps — judge, jury, executioner. A decision had been made about Casey. She accepted it. She left her bike behind and was seen riding away with him.
She has not been seen since. She is presumed deceased.
The music was recovered from her studio. Her manager produced this arc of her life and times from the masters she left behind.
